Why Trump – To people on the left.
It is unlikely I will be able to shift anyone’s political views. However, I still feel compelled for people to understand “Why Trump?”. Why is it that Trump is loved, yes loved, by so many people? Oh Yes, I know we are racist, deplorable, uneducated, xenophobic, Nazis, etc…then this makes up half of America – how awful!!! If you believe the above, you do not need to read any further. I am not planning to respond to brainless responses. However, if you have friends, relatives, co-workers, who you know are hardworking regular folks, love their family, patriotic, nonracist people who say we firmly support Trump then you should at least ask yourself why. What drives us to Trump? Do you really think 50% of America is defined by the above qualities? Fundamentally, instead of “Orange man is bad” try to understand what is “America First”, “Make America Great Again” movement and why it exist. Trump initiated it but this is far beyond Trump – it goes deep into the soul of America.
This is not a simple question, and it has many answers with many variations, but I will try to explain the core reasoning. And yes I do not mind discussing other subjects but it is still very critical to separate the main points rather than the less important ones.
So first, what are the main reasons that led to Trump:
Part1. Deterioration of the Middle (Working) Class of America
What defines America? America is a dream country, founded by people who dreamt about freedom; they were truly genius and exceptionally brave and made a foundation, a foundation on which any person (or at least a majority) could succeed. This is why, at least for several hundred years people have moved/fled to America and proved that the idea of America works. It may not be perfect, but nothing is perfect. As a result of the American system, at the core of American society formed a very big middle class.. This middle class defines America as being capable of finding reasonably good work, living freely without restrictive rules, being
able to provide for their family, and was able to live in reasonably good conditions with reasonable healthcare. I am not trying to create a rosy picture. The middle class had to work hard; there is a lower and higher level in the middle class, where incomes may differ 3-4 times, but as a core, this class of people worked to make it, and they did reasonably well.
Why the workers do well in America? Mainly because the US was “industrious”, it had the very significant technological advantage. American factories, industries, and ingenuity were the envy of the world. The American worker used the latest technologies and could produce 100 times more than low-skilled workers in other countries. The average American family was able to have a car, TVs, refrigerators, and house, many years before any other countries (yes, I know Canada, etc but I hope it is clear what I am getting at) Then, this picture started to change.
There are many reasons, but whatever the reason is, the good jobs of the middle class started to move off American shores. America already lost and is losing entire industries at an unprecedented HUGE scale! The AMERICAN WORKER DID NOT FEEL GOOD ANYMORE! What came instead of good jobs? – Low-income jobs, low morale, drugs, and the decay of many areas. Yes, maybe some good educated workers like lawyers, and computer developers, didn’t feel it as bad, but it is just a matter of time, there are just as many educated
people or computer developers in China and India. As long as industries are not in the US anymore, why wouldn’t other jobs follow? They will. The nearsighted financial class who helped to accomplish the movement of these industries off US shores will no longer be needed. Who will it serve? The Poor?
There are many guilty parties involved as to why this happened. I do not blame Democrats or Republicans for why this happened, it was not driven by one political party. Many operated on beliefs that this may help America, definitely this thinking dominated in relation with China, in both parties and administrations for a long time.
Bonus book for those who are not intellectually lazy: Hundred Years Marathon However, the bottom line is the MIDDLE CLASS HAS STAGNATED, family incomes stagnated, finding good jobs for less educated folks became much more difficult, and complex industries were now built outside of America. What is the future for our kids? It used to be that the next generation lived better than the previous. Not anymore. Yes, some bright, well-educated, exceptionally driven, and brave will succeed, and some will do exceptionally well.. but these will
make up 10-20%. What about 80-90%???

So regardless of how it happened, TRUMP PROMISED TO REVERT THIS TREND!!! He stands in a PRO-AMERICAN WORKER position, he wants to rebuild industries in the US, increase amount of jobs and incomes in the USA. This is the MAIN REASON for his election (many others but this is the main one).

- Renegotiations of trade agreements. Finally, smart people use tariffs as a mechanism to put pressure on the other side…the other side that didn’t have any hesitation to use tariffs on US products. Achievements here were truly astonishing. People who have never led big organizations don’t understand what it means to move big organizations forward and achieve something great.
It is a huge effort and requires exceptionally smart people with vision and courage. And yes, there are many things to do more. I know you, on the other side, will come up with hundreds of reasons why this is not true, but if you are intellectually honest, you will at least note these achievements. Do you trust the other side to solve the most critical task for America to move the middle class to a better position, to bring industries back?
Neither Democrats nor Republicans did anything after Reagan. Without the middle class, the American dream is gone, democracy is gone, and America as you know it, is gone.
THINK! WHO IS THE BETTER MAN FOR THE FORGOTTEN MIDDLE CLASS? THINK ABOUT YOUR JOB, YOUR INCOME, PROVIDING FOR YOUR FAMILY, PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR KIDS, YOUR HOUSE, YOUR PLACE OF WORK, YOUR SAFETY. WHO IS BETTER FOR AMERICA TO BE FUNCTIONING AGAIN! DO YOU
REALLY THINK IF THE ECONOMY IS NOT WORKING WELL, IF AMERICA IS NOT INDUSTRIOUS, IF AMERICA IS NOT COMPETITIVE, WILL YOUR KIDS HAVE GOOD OPPORTUNITIES IN LIFE?
